Leah + Charles / Wedding
Leah and Charles were married two weekends ago at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, in downtown Indianapolis.
Mother Nature couldn’t make up its mind whether it was going to rain or shine, but like a smart bride Leah carefully had backup strategies A, B and C designed for any sort of situation!

We wasted no time in-between rain showers to capture some amazing details, while incorporating some of the architecture of the museum:

The rain eventually cleared up in the late afternoon and made way for a perfect day, as you’ll see.

Leah and Charles opted to see each other before the ceremony, so after their ‘First Look’ we started the afternoon off with a few candid portraits then went right into their One-on-One photos.

We took the wedding party outside during a break in the storm and found the perfect spot for a few creative photos of the girls:

Much to everyone’s disappointment, it rained all-the-way up to the ceremony but after the storms passed all that was left were pretty bright blue skies:

The ceremony was originally to be held in the Eiteljorg Museum’s Outdoor Garden but with the ground soaked from rain, ‘Backup Plan B’ was enacted and the ceremony was moved indoors to the Grand Hall:

After the ceremony, guests mingled while enjoying cocktails and hors d‘œuvres in the Eagle Commons; the delicious, trend-forward cuisine was provided by none other than Kahn’s Katering.

Their wedding reception was held in the adjacent Clowes Circular Ballroom, and was lavishly decorated in black and white colors adorned with beautiful candle-lit center pieces.

All eyes were on Leah and Charles’ first dance, and Ryan Hartley of RD Hartley DJ Services kept the party going and music flowing all night long.

Leah expressed a vivid interest in wanting some artistic night-time photos, so after their reception we embarked on a leisurely stroll taking us along the Indy Canal Walk to the Indiana Government Plaza.

The clock may have said it was nearly 1:45 AM, but Leah and Charles’ enthusiasm and excitement from just being married was unmistakable:

Leah and Charles are a magnificent couple and were a sincere pleasure working with! Thank you for allowing us to be part of your celebration, and for staying out so late with us — you guys rock! A special thanks to Sarah Bean at the Eiteljorg Museum for coordinating the day and keeping everything smooth and relaxing.

Cathy (and David) says,
Love the shots at the end with the flash. And also the details at the beginning. Nice job!
