Cara + Craig / Wedding
With the seasons quickly changing from Summer to Autumn in the last few weeks, we welcomed the fresh air of Fall and the prospect of another beautiful Midwest wedding — and that it was.
Cara and Craig were married last weekend at the beautiful Saint Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church in Zionsville.

Cara’s beautiful pear-shaped diamond engagement ring was absolutely breathless and sparkled everywhere we took it.

The bridal bouquet and wedding gown sparkled in their own regards too:

And speaking of sparkling, I detected a glimmer in Cara’s eyes when walking down the aisle with her father.

The monstrous ceilings and large stained glass windows in St. Alphonsus’ sanctuary made for some dramatic wide angle photos.

Reverand Father Joshua M. Janko presided over the ceremony and shared some wonderful insights and stories about Cara & Craig, including their passion and love of animals.

We had a generous amount of time between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of the reception, so we decided to split up some of their portraits and started off with some relaxed photos.
As you’ll soon see, our planning and patience was rewarded with some luxurious works of fine art.

A stretch limo arrived and whisked the wedding party away to the beautiful Plum Creek Golf Club in Carmel. Ironically, it was the second time in just as many weeks as we were last there for Dawna & Gabe’s wedding!

Long before any guests were due to arrive, we led Cara & Craig out on the golf course for some private One-on-One Bride & Groom photos and what did we find? Some amazing landscapes to work with!

You wouldn’t know it from any of the photos, but it was a blustery Fall day in October, with chilling gusts of wind and temperatures in the mid to low 50°s.

At times even I had goose bumps from the wind … so you can imagine how cold a wedding gown would have been! Despite this, Cara and Craig weren’t going to let the weather get in the way of capturing some incredible images:

The wedding party joined us near the Clubhouse and were prepared to show us what jumping pictures are all about!

We’ve all taken advantage of a ‘head start’ sometimes, but this next photo sets a new standard — we love it!

And while we were having so much fun, why not go with the flow? Surely you’ve seen the Major League American Express Ad movie clip before, right?

Naturally, the fun pranks and shenanigans continued on into the evening, and proceeded into the reception where Alice’s Catering was busy preparing a succulent meal for everyone to enjoy.

Before long the celebration was underway and Cara & Craig shared their first dance together as husband and wife and kicked off a long night of festivities!

Fall weddings are some of our most enjoyable times of the year and Cara & Craig showed us just how incredible October in the Midwest can be. To Cara & Craig, thank you for being so much fun and for allowing us to document your special day — we’re honored to share your wedding story!
