Kailey + Josh / Wedding
Kailey and Josh were married nearly two weekends ago, and celebrated their love for each other in perfect style.
We photographed their engagement lifestyle session earlier this summer and knew from the beginning their wedding day was going to be delightful!

Kailey spent the morning at Q Salon pampering herself and getting ready, before departing to the cute Little Flower Roman Catholic Church where the ceremony would take place.

We searched high and low for the absolute best places for our signature amazing detail shots and found exactly what we were looking for — the ideal place for a wedding gown by Demitrios:

Kailey went to school at the [St. Therese Little Flower Catholic] Church, so naturally she had a lot of history and memories during her childhood years.
Every year as a little girl, her Mom would take her picture under the same tree, year after year. As you’d suspect, we made it a point to take her picture under the same tree on her wedding day — this time a little differently though:

While the girls were getting ready in the Bridal Room, and after Kailey had finished putting on her dress, she joked that she would climb the ladder to the roof and escape while she still had time!

Of course we weren’t going to let that happen, but we did “escape” outside for some artistic Bridal Portraits before the ceremony. The direction the sun was shining was remarkable, and made our jobs easy!

Kailey was so relaxed and excited during the ceremony, she was smiling and giggling nearly the entire time.

After the ceremony a stretch limo chauffeured the wedding party to the Flanner and Buchanan Community Life Center at Washington Park East, on Indianapolis’ east side of town.
Devoted readers (and blog stalkers too!) may remember the Community Life Center is where Katie & Josh had their wedding reception earlier this summer.
Needless to say, we were looking forward to revisiting the Life Center’s dramatic architecture and beautiful gardens.

Everything about Kailey and Josh’s wedding day seemed like the perfect October wedding — the cool Fall weather, the crisp clean fresh air, the golden glow of the sun — all brought together by the incredible autumn colors.

We continued their One-on-One photos inside the Life Center’s three-story glass tower, and used the surrounding elements to take a dramatic and creative approach to their photos.

With the guests entertained and mingling in the courtyard with cocktails and hors d‘œuvres, we escorted Kailey and Josh down the tower and outside for one ‘final moment’ before they were introduced to their guests — the perfect blue sky + a veil blowing in the breeze = one killer photo.

Shortly afterwards, the fruits of Kailey’s efforts were rewarded tenfold when she unveiled to Josh a secret Groom’s cake that she had been planning for over a year:

The evening continued into a “Good, Good, Night” (as the hit song by the Black Eyed Peas goes) and had everyone dancing, celebrating and having a ball all night long.

Kailey and Josh made the job of documenting their day an absolute pleasure … for they were relaxed, full of energy and had a passion for great photos all day long! Thank you both for allowing us to be a part of your special day — you guys rock!
