Kailey + Josh / Engagement
Kailey and Josh are a truly fabulous and playful couple, and traded their Friday night plans to join us for their lifestyle engagement session. The onset of the Summer Solstice ushered in some hot, steamy weather but neither the humidity nor the sun got in the way of this hot couple!
Josh proposed to Kailey last Fall at the Indy Canal Walk, so what better of a place for pictures than where they got engaged? Right from the beginning, their vibrant personalities were evident and we knew we were going to have a fun time together. I love how the wind was blowing and made Kailey look like a model at a fashion shoot:

We found so many picturesque places along the canal, images like this seemed to be just around every corner:

Summer may officially be here, but for Kailey and Josh it was still Spring and ‘love’ was in the air:

A quick wardrobe change and a few different locations later, we set our sights on the Indianapolis Museum of Art … but not before I misled them by driving down the wrong way of a one way street — oops — I’m sure glad there wasn’t a police officer anywhere around!

Thankfully all roads seem to lead to a Starbucks, so en route to the IMA we stopped off for a much-needed cold beverage on a hot night. Kailey decided to spice things up in her own “hot” way and changed into a little black dress:

We spent some more time exploring the gardens and grounds and ended the evening with a nice, relaxing stroll:

Getting to know awesome clients while mixing some social time with some creative photography … it doesn’t get much better than this. We’re so looking forward to Kailey and Josh’s wedding this Fall at the cute Little Flower Catholic Church and the reception they’re planning at the Community Life Center at Washington Park East.
