Kerrie + Aaron / Wedding
We got to know Kerrie and Aaron thru their engagement lifestyle session last fall and couldn’t wait until their incredible wedding this year! Time seemed to fly by since we last saw them last October, and before we knew it their wedding was here.
We started the day off at the Embassy Suites in downtown Indianapolis, conveniently located across the street from the State Capitol building where the wedding would be held.

While Kerrie and her bridesmaids were getting ready in the Penthouse Suite, we were busy capturing amazing details of the dress, shoes, flowers, bouquet and of course her stunning ring:

We snuck the girls outside on the balcony for a few minutes, and found a beautiful blue sky awaiting us. The bridesmaids’ dresses all had bows on the back, which were patiently hand-tied by Kerrie’s mom — great job!

The natural light coming in through the large floor-to-ceiling windows was beautiful, and gave us a lot to work with.

While photographing the bridal party, we soon realized that Kerrie had some of the best bridesmaids we’ve ever worked with, and were up for all kinds of fun photos!

We then ‘kidnapped’ Kerrie for a few individual Bridal Portraits before the wedding:

The ceremony was held held in the North Atrium of the Indiana Statehouse — with the stained glass dome of the Rotunda acting as the entrance to the ceremony.

With its Doric style, the North Atrium boasts marble floors and brass chandeliers surrounded by an ornate balcony and offers impressive views:

We loved the way Kerrie and Aaron setup a diamond shape floor plan for their ceremony, as every guest had a magnificent view of the bridal party and felt close to the action.

Jan Aldrige Clark, of Splendid Harp, a local Indianapolis Harpist, played beautiful music throughout the opening parts of the ceremony.
After the intimate ceremony, we walked thru the Indiana Government Center along the Indianapolis Canal Walk, stopping every so often to setup some perfectly composed group pictures.

With the bridal party heading to the reception and the guests enjoying hors d‘œuvres and Cocktail Hour on the terrace, we scored some One-on-One time alone with just the Bride & Groom.

The reception was held in the O’Bannon Great Hall at the Indiana State Museum, with entertainment provided by Ryan Hartley of RD Hartley DJ Services — who not only kept the party going strong, but was mixing up songs all night long.

The first dance is always one of the favorite times during the wedding day, and I love the expressions the two of them shared:

After a perfect first dance, the cake cutting brought a few ‘surprises’ with it … and let’s just allow the pictures do the explaining, shall we?

Being the gentleman he is, Aaron was quick to lend a helping hand:

The bridal party kept the “par-tay” going well into the wee hours of the night, but we were able to sneak the two lovebirds away for one final nightcap:

We knew in advance that Kerrie and Aaron’s wedding was going to be a great time, and it turned out to be nothing short of amazing!
To Kerrie & Aaron, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day and for giving us so many memories to remember. YOU GUYS TRULY ROCK!

Aren’t they the most precious couple you ever saw? Of course, as grandparents, we are filled with love for both of them.
We enjoyed the wedding, and all of the wonderful folks we met.
